Concert inspired by the recording of the same name,
Erato/Warner Classics, released in November 2022.
The title of the concert refers to eternal paradise. We promise you at least two hours in paradise, in the company of Georg Friedrich Handel and a prodigious ensemble. Created in 2018 by lutenist Thomas Dunford, the Jupiter ensemble is made up of brilliant young musicians of his generation.
Named “Lyric Artist of the Year” at the prestigious Opus Klassik 2022, Franco-Italian mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre is one of the most inspiring talents of her generation. She was also named Révélation at the Victoires de la Musique Classique in 2017, won the Prix HSBC in 2018 and is nominated in the Artiste Lyrique category at the Victoires de la Musique Classique in 2021 and 2023. Her young discography includes three titles: Amazone (2021), Eternal Haeven (2022) and Idylle (2023), recorded exclusively for the Erato Warner Classics label.
Created in 2018 by lutenist Thomas Dunford, the Jupiter ensemble was born of the meeting and friendship between Thomas and brilliant young musicians of his generation. The great freedom, listening skills, improvisation and energy acquired by each of them over the years enable them to render the various repertoires they tackle with passion, strength and emotion. Jupiter’s first recording is devoted to Vivaldi (Alpha label, 2019, Diamant d’Opéra Magazine, Prix Caecillia, ICMA 2020, France Musique choice). The next two recordings, Amazone (2021) and Eternal Haeven (2022), were released by Erato Warner Classics.
